    done~!

    nyx

    i'm walking the long road

    humming, nyx kept their eyes half open, watching lacy jump around, nervous. nyx pulled their backpack up on their shoulder, stepping carefully to avoid the skeleton weaving between their legs. "lacy, looks like we're the last to show up. relax, just for a minute, please." they sounded tired, and a bit like this was routine for the two. sighing dramatically, they pushed lacy forward, towards the other students.

    watching the sky fall

    — i've never had the winning hand

    lacy, for her part, was jumping around, giggling like a child. this place looked amazing, it was huge! she was careful, though as she jumped around. after all, she had precious cargo. her snake was carefully wrapped around her neck, laying still, flicking its tongue before laying its head down once more. the girl was just so happy to be able to come here! oh, and nyx was pushing them towards the other students, though to her it seemed like they were all going somewhere else, perhaps food? she was quite hungry.

    honestly? lacy felt like puking. not that she was going to show that, she already was 100% sure she was one of, if not the, weakest links in the class currently anyway, her age not helping in the slightest. she didn't want to add anymore fuel to the raging inferno that she felt was there. lacy kept a smile on her face, laughing and chatting with a few other classmates to make the time pass, tapping her foot impatiently. she glanced around, smiling at the other students. she waved off the girls she was talking to, so that she could sort through her school bag, to play with her cards. her cards always calmed her nerves, and she was praying that they would do so now, if the teacher took much longer.

    lacy took a deep breath, calming herself. her hands ghosted over her cards, watching them fly like a professional dealer at a casino she once stayed at a few years back. she had no need to activate her quirk having practised this many, many times over. once she felt alright with how shuffled they where, she called out. "anybody wanna play a game or two before the teacher arrives..?" she was nervously shuffling the cards, the shuffling becoming more and more quick, and the ways she shuffled more and more advanced.

    "well, if it's just the two of us, we could play trash if ya know the game. and the stakes, well... normally when i play it's like owing the winner a favor. but, i'm game for most anything." she laughed a bit nervously at the end, scratching the back of her head. the cards kept moving, even while she wasn't holding them, her quirk taking over while she glanced around the room.

    lacy smiled at the girl. "we were just about to start, do you want to join us? it's always fun with more people!" the girl started dealing the cards, ten to each player. "the game is called trash. everyone gets ten cards, and ya put them face down. the goal is to get all ten faceup with cards you draw. say, you get a three on your first turn, you put it in the three slot, and flip the card that was there over, and that's a king. king's are wilds. so you can put that anywhere. you cannot move a card once placed, it's a pretty easy game if i'm being honest!" she seemed to light up, talking about the game. "when the first get's to ten, the round ends. the winner, drops to nine, and everyone gets a new hand. easy peasy right?"

    "that's okay! i'd be happy to deal you in whenever you want to try it." she smiled, dealing out ten cards to both herself and to drew. she carefully lined her cards into two equal rows, humming as she set the deck down in the middle. "do you want to go first drew, or do you want me to?"

    ooc;

    thats fine~! i love blackjack, but i've played trash quite a bit more. it is quite the game of, luck if i'm honest.

    "nice ta' meet ya koi! i'm vasillia, but everybody calls me lacy."she smiled, moving her hand to the deck to draw her first card. the card she picked up was an eight of spades, which she swapped with the face down card in the eight position. she picked it up, and it ended up being the three of hearts. she placed it in the three position, and took the swapped card. it was a queen, which she set down in the discard pile. "your turn next." she smiled, waving her hands around excitedly.

    lacy hummed happily, grabbing the discarded 7, placing it in it's spot. the card was a 5, which she placed again. it was an ace, which she placed. it turned up a jack, which she placed in the 10's place, and ended up with a king. she finished her turn. "so... does anybody wanna talk about quirks? it'd be nice to know everybodies, and learn more about them!" she smiled albit nervously.

    "wow... your guy's quirks are really cool, and they seem like they fit really well for hero work." she paused, drawing an ace and setting it down. it was a 4 which she placed and held up a jack. she slipped it in the 9 spot, and discarded the 5. "my quirk is called magicians trick. i can control throwing cards and knives, make stuff disappear, levitate and a quite a bit of illusions. i wasn't expecting to be put in this class if i'm being honest.. i was aiming for support actually," she laughed nervously. "but i think i'm gonna try and stay here for now."

    she smiled at drew, taking the discarded two. "thanks for the vote of confidence, really. i'm just, well... a bit overwhelmed? i told them i'd be fine in the support class, but wouldn't mind a different one. i just didn't expect the hero class." she laughed nervously. she glanced at the teachers in the doorway, and let out a small squeak, before looking back at the cards. she carefully took the flipped card, and grinned widely. "i won!" she slapped the six down, flipping it over to a jack, which she discarded. "we can tie, you have one more turn, and if you don't finish it then you lose."
